I remember Aiden's first day of Kindercare - he was 9 months old and Miss Lynn and Miss Nolie were his teachers. I can't believe how fast 4 years flew by! We are so lucky that Aiden has grown so much, emotionally, academically and socially, thanks to the wonderful teachers at his school. I remember seeing the rock garden in the front of the building and thinking that was such a nice idea. I can't believe it's already time for Aiden's rock to be left behind.
I was so proud of our big boy when I heard Miss Norma asked him and Ethan to stand in front because they read Pete the Cat so well and they knew all the words to the songs. Aiden did great - he sang so loudly and wasn't shy at all. I did break down and cry during Somewhere Over the Rainbow as I thought about not only the fact that Aiden would be leaving his friends and teachers for a new school, but also as I reflected on the hardships that Kindercare has faced this year, especially the loss of Miss Nolie. There's a beautiful tribute to her in the rock garden as well.
After we got home from our celebration dinner, the boys put together the Angry Birds puzzle that Aiden received from his classmates.
