Our Pre-K Graduate
I remember Aiden's first day of Kindercare - he was 9 months old and Miss Lynn and Miss Nolie were his teachers. I can't believe how fast 4 years flew by! We are so lucky that Aiden has grown so much, emotionally, academically and socially, thanks to the wonderful teachers at his school. I remember seeing the rock garden in the front of the building and thinking that was such a nice idea. I can't believe it's already time for Aiden's rock to be left behind.
I was so proud of our big boy when I heard Miss Norma asked him and Ethan to stand in front because they read Pete the Cat so well and they knew all the words to the songs. Aiden did great - he sang so loudly and wasn't shy at all. I did break down and cry during Somewhere Over the Rainbow as I thought about not only the fact that Aiden would be leaving his friends and teachers for a new school, but also as I reflected on the hardships that Kindercare has faced this year, especially the loss of Miss Nolie. There's a beautiful tribute to her in the rock garden as well.
After we got home from our celebration dinner, the boys put together the Angry Birds puzzle that Aiden received from his classmates.
Anderson is 18 Months!!!
Our little man is 18 months! He's 90th percentile for both height and weight! He's wearing 2T clothes and people mistake him for a 2 year old all the time. He's talking so much and has such a funny personality.
More Father's Day Fun
We had a very busy day on Father's Day. First we headed to the car show in Summit where my favorite car was this flower power VW. Then we drove down to visit Pop-pop in the hospital. Next we stopped at Houlihan's for some lunch. Then at night we had Lolo and Lola over and Alvin grilled steaks and lobsters.
Happy Father's Day to the Best Father!!!
We celebrated Father's Day all weekend which isn't unusual for us. On Saturday, after soccer, we headed to New Brunswick for Filipino food and Thomas Sweet.
Last Day of Soccer
Aiden completed his third season of soccer and did it in style by scoring a goal during his last game. Next year he has soccer twice a week - practice one weeknight and then games on Saturday mornings!
Nothing Better Than Our Boys and Vacation
Vacation came and went too fast but we are lucky to have lots of pictures and videos to remember our wonderful week in Ocean City. Aiden had a blast playing at four different mini golf courses. He got holes in one at three of them! Twice he got a hole in one at hole #10! He also loved that he had a TV in his bedroom at the condo. Anderson loved the beach and would have jumped straight into the ocean if we had let him. He also really liked the shower by the pool where you rinse your feet. These pictures of the boys make me smile b/c we had a great night watching the sunset while dancing to reggae music. Can't wait until next year!
