We Did It - Rutgers 5K

So it's been over 3 years since I ran my first and only 5K with my sister. I started training again but only about 1-2 times a week. But I was able to do the RU 5K in 37:02! I just wanted to finish in under 40 minutes and not be in last place. I finished #209 out of 248! Vicki finished #133 in 33:09. The best part was seeing the boys at the finish line. Of course the first words out of Aiden's mouth were "Mommy, do you know that a little kid beat you? Actually I think you came in last place!"

 

Weekend Fun

We had a busy but fun weekend. Soccer on Saturday and then pumpkin picking at the farm with our friends. Then at night we went to Brite Nites where the Minion display was our favorite. Then in the morning, Vicki and I ran the Rutgers 5K and we all went out to brunch at the new diner on Livingston Campus. Then Aiden and I tried to make some bracelets with the Rainbow Loom.

Pumpking Picking with My Pumpkins

I took off on Columbus Day because the boys were both off from school. I decided to take them to our favorite pumpkin picking spot in the afternoon. Don't they look so thrilled in the first picture?

 

Anderson is 22 months!!!

He may have a crazy temper, but our big boy is so loveable! Every day we're more amazed at how smart he is! He counts up to 10 and physically counts items. He knows all his colors. His vocabulary is huge. And he loves talking about all his friends at school. Sometimes the only way to calm him down is to ask him questions about school.
