He'll Eat Anything

Looks like Anderson tried eating the paint like he does with all the art supplies.

Aunt Lauren Comes to Watch the Soccer Star

Aunt Lauren came to watch Aiden play soccer and got to see him score a goal (and come very close to scoring a second one) at his game.

Thanks Nanny for the Fruit

Nanny and Papa sent Lolo and Lola some yummy Edible Arrangements and they shared with us. The boys loved playing around with their strawberries on sticks.

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a great Mother's Day this year! I was able to attend both Aiden and Anderson's class parties. Aiden's was at 3pm and Anderson's at 4:30pm so I just stayed at the school and did a conference call in between. When I got to Anderson's class early, they were all playing outside. I noticed he was walking around eating a cracker. His teacher said that he was so upset that they weren't having a snack when they woke up from nap like they usually did, that he demanded food. She figured they'd eat their snacks during the party but we all know our little guy doesn't like to wait for food. When he saw me he ran over to the door, opened it himself and grabbed his coat and bag. He was very upset that we weren't leaving right away but eventually he calmed down... when the food was served!

School Picture Day

And of course Anderson refused to get his pictures taken, even when Aiden was there to do the sibling one with him. Supposedly he did take a cute picture with his class so we'll see... But as soon as Mommy got her camera out, he yelled "Cheeeesssee!"

Daddy the Racecar Driver

Alvin had a track event at Pocono Raceway and Aiden and I went to watch him for a few hours. When we first arrived, Aiden saw all the racecars that were parked by the track and said "This is just like Cars 2 except there are more racecars here!" It was so much fun to watch Alvin speed around a professional racetrack. He even got up to 140mph! But the highlight of the day for Aiden was riding around on the golf cart!

Dinosaur Park

We were lucky enough to attend our friend Sal's 3rd birthday party at the Dinosaur Park. I thought Aiden would be scared of the life-size dinosaurs since he's always been scared of any of the dressed-up characters. But he loved the dinosaurs! Even Anderson loved saying "Hi!" to each of them and waving. Of course he really loved eating the food and cupcake at the party. Check out how his eyes are fixated on Mikey's cupcake in the picture below!

Anderson is 17 months!!!

This kid has the funniest personality! He's either cracking up laughing or screaming mad! He is getting so big, so quickly. And you better watch out if he's hungry - he gets so mad when you don't give him food right away.

It's been almost a month since I've updated this

Wow, I am really behind in updating this blog. This past month has flown by and has completely exhausted us. Work is extremely busy and my Etsy shop is very busy, especially with weddings which takes up hours of my time. I can't complain b/c it's a good thing but even though I've been keeping up with downloading the pics off my camera, I haven't had time to post them here.

We've been very busy with soccer, playing outside, a trip to the Poconos to see Alvin drive on the racetrack, an Ago reunion, Kindergarten orientation, birthday parties and more.

And of course today is Mother's Day. I sit here looking at the boys playing in the basement and being so happy that even though I'm a working mom, I still am lucky enough to have so much time with them. Knock on wood, I still haven't missed a Mother's Day tea or parent-teacher conference or anything at school. I know that won't always be the case but I feel pretty blessed that I can have the best of both worlds - a job I love with the flexibility to be there for the boys. And I also feel very blessed for the mothers in our life - my mother-in-law who would drop anything to come help us and take care of the boys and a mother, who even though she's far away, she has been so supportive with all of my decisions and I always know that she's proud of me.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone!!! xoxo
