So Aiden's name got picked on Friday to bring the class stuffed pet home for the weekend. He was super excited and had told his teacher that we were going apple picking so Purry could come with us. And of course the pressure was on to have a great weekend with Purry b/c we had to put photos in Purry's book. Of course I stressed over the logistics of going apple picking on Sunday afternoon and getting the pictures uploaded, printed and then glued into the book with some sentences describing Purry's weekend. But luckily we did it! And we had a great weekend together, although we missed Daddy who was in Ocean City, MD for his annual boys' trip.

Daddy's boys love cars and tracks
Both boys spent hours playing with Aiden's new Cars track game. It's so cute to hear Anderson yell "Ready set go go go!" He loves the mini cars so much that he has been holding the little Mater and McQueen for more than 24 hours! He won't let go of them even when he eats and sleeps! We almost lost one apple picking but luckily his cousins found it.
Reading Buddies
The boys love reading books. Anderson loves pointing out words he knows in books like duck, baby, blocks, and more. Now he knows the shapes square, oval, heart and star!
Happy 5th Birthday Aiden!!!
Aiden turned 5 on September 23rd! We celebrated over the weekend by having a few of his friends go bowling. Of course even though it was a small party it had to have a theme. Aiden had requested a Jake and the Neverland Pirates bowling party so that's what we had. Then on his actual birthday, he had a party at school. I made individual cups of pirate booty with Jake stickers on them. Each of his classmates colored a picture of a cake and then his teacher stapled it together for him as a birthday book. I picked him up from school and took him out for ice cream. Then we had soccer, went out to dinner and came home and opened more presents.
Our Little Artist
Every night a new photo comes home accompanying Anderson's art work. It's so cute to see him in action during art time!
Busy but Fun Weekend Continues
A few weeks ago we had an extremely busy weekend which is rare for us. Friday night Alvin and I had that party in the city. Then Saturday we had a Bounce U party in the morning and then Aiden and I had a party in Pennsylvania in the afternoon. He did remind me that I told him before that we can't go to two parties in one day so why were we doing that today! Then Sunday we had a baptism to attend also in PA. But it was good times spent with good friends so very worth it.
Beautiful View on a Saturday Morning
A few weeks ago Alvin and I had a party to attend in the city so we stayed at the Westin in Jersey City and got to enjoy the view before we headed home.
Still Hates Haircuts
And people wonder why I let his hair get so long. Try enduring non-stop screaming the whole time he's getting his hair cut! It does look cute though.
Enjoying Ice Cream... Before the Meltdown
Look how sweet and innocent our little guy looks. Well about 8 minutes after this picture was taken, he threw a mother of all meltdowns that still makes me shiver when I think about it!
Aiden's 1st Library Book
We never go to the library in our town so I was super excited that Aiden will be bringing home books from his school library. And even more excited when he brought home one of the classic Berenstain Bears book from his first day of library.
