Fun at Lolo and Lola's House

Aiden went to visit Lolo and Lola last weekend and had a ball singing kareoke
and relaxing in the massage chair.

Uh oh... OCD tendancies are coming out!

After Aiden unwrapped each gift he laid them out methodically on the couch! Seems like he may be taking after his obsessive-compulsive mother!

Puzzle Master

Nanny couldn't believe how quickly Aiden could put together a puzzle that was made for ages 3 and up!

It's still Christmas in LBI

Due to everyone being sick, we never made it down to see Nanny's Winter Wonderland for Christmas. So she decided to keep all her decorations up until we could get down there! Good thing she did since Aiden was very impressed with the decor. Right away he noticed 2 ornaments that had his pictures in them! And he loved the train that drove around the tree. I was psyched b/c Nanny and Papa bought us one of those strollers to take chairs/toys/towels/etc. down to the beach! Best gift ever!

Diner with Pop-pop and Grandpa

We met Grandpa and Pop-pop for breakfast at the diner today.

Posing with Daddy

I told Aiden I wanted a picture of him and Daddy and he decided to try a bunch of different poses.

What I should have sang at the Winter Gala

When we got home from the Winter Gala, Aiden decided to sing for us at the dinner table. But first he looked at Alvin and me and said "Thank you Daddy. Thank you Mommy. Thanks for coming to my school today. Thanks guys!" It was the cutest thing ever!

Winter Gala

Aiden's class was having a Winter Gala this week. They were to sing a few songs for the parents and then have a party. Alvin and I were looking forward to it, especially since Aiden had been practicing his songs for weeks. He loves singing in bed to his stuffed friends. Of course when it was time to perform, Aiden came running over to me and refused to sing! He only wanted to sit on my lap. But afterwards he had fun eating cookies and Goldfish with his friends. And he was very proud of the hat that he had made.

Finally Made it out in the Snow

We had another snow storm on Wednesday so I worked from home and Aiden stayed with me. Pretty much impossible to get work done! He kept yelling "You can't work Mommy! You have to play choo choo trains with me." And then he'd try to shut my computer! But after his nap I brought him outside in the snow which made up for it I think!

Funny Things My Son Says

Every day this kid is cracking us up. Here are some of his recent funny moments:
  • He has started standing when he uses the potty b/c two of the boys in his class do it. So today I told him I was going to use the bathroom and he looked at me and said "Mommy are you going to sit or stand?"
  • He has taken to saying "Oh my gosh" and then right away he tells us that "Aunt V and Rob taught me that!"
  • He loves procrastinating before bed and every sentence begins with "How 'bout..." as in "How bout you give me a little bit of milk in a big cup?" "How 'bout I watch Dora?", etc.

Aiden doing the zip line at Andrew's party

At the My Gym party, the kids take turns doing the zip line. Aiden was sitting on line so patiently waiting his turn and then he was so excited afterwards. And yes he kept his hat on the entire party!

Photos by Sophia

My 3 year old niece took my camera and decided to take pictures herself. I was pretty impressed with her work. I especially like how she took pictures of random things like the Scattagories buzzer and her vanity.

Visiting my Cousins

Aunt Kimmy was in town so we went to visit her at Aunt June's.

Look How Strong I Am

I've always said Aiden has super human strength! He did really well on the monkey bars at Andrew's birthday party!

Happy 40th Anniversary Lolo & Lola

Saturday night we went out to dinner to celebrate Lolo & Lola's 40th wedding anniversary. Of course Aiden got to blow out the candle on their dessert.

My Curious Monkey

Aiden and I had so much fun putting together his Curious George puzzle this weekend.

What a Funny Kid

Aiden has me cracking up these days. Wednesday night I was leaving to meet Heather and Aiden was eating. I went to say goodbye to him and he looked at me all serious and said, "Are you going out Mommy? You need a hat. And you need a scarf. And you need your rain boots. And you need your gloves. And you need your coat." The next morning I was leaving for work and I put on my new hat and he yelled "No Mommy, don't wear that hat." So he went into the closet and pulled out my new earmuffs and said "Wear this one!" So I obliged and then went to say goodbye to him and he ran away. He comes back 5 seconds later saying "Mommy you forgot something... hugs and kisses!" and he gave me a huge hug and kiss! Love him!

Then this morning he told me all the last names of all 11 of the kids in his class! I couldn't believe he remembered every one after only learning them yesterday!

Clean Garage for the New Year

Alvin and I (ok, mostly Alvin) cleaned out our garage on New Years Day. Now we can put both cars in for the winter!

My Little Conductor

He's rocking his train shirt from Tita Carol!

All the Fun We Can Have with Plastic Shoe Boxes

Alvin took us to a fancy Home Depot on New Years morning where I was so excited to see plastic shoe boxes for $1.00 each. I wanted to put Aiden's shoes in there and use the others for my craft supplies. Of course Aiden had other ideas. Don't worry Nanny, when I saw him put the boxes on the stairs I took them away from him (after I snapped a picture of course!). And then he climbed in my Christmas crate.

Alvin cooked us a delicious salmon dinner to celebrate the end of 2010! We hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!

Last Aiden Pic of 2010

Aiden and His Friends

This is how Aiden goes to bed every night - with 7 of his stuffed friends, 2 pillows, 2 blankets and his Handy Manny book!

Uncle Glenn, Change Me!

After Aiden tried to get Aunt Laura to give him a bath, he tried to get Uncle Glenn to dress him. Since Glenn didn't know if the zipper to the PJs was in the front or the back, Laura took over!
