Aunt Maureen bought Aiden crocodile pajamas which he loves and has worn every night this week so far. He decided to put them on himself tonight... over his clothes!

BREAD!

Uh-oh - someone takes after his daddy when it comes to bread. I've been told many times that Alvin would sit down and eat a whole loaf of bread when he was growing up. The other day I had to hide the bread on Aiden after he found it and ate 2.5 pieces!

Awesome Sunday

Today was one of those awesome days. A perfect mix of having fun, getting stuff accomplished and resting. Of course the day started way too early with Aiden waking up at 6am. But it worked to our benefit. Since Alvin was leaving early to detail I took Aiden to 8:30am mass by myself. Then Aiden's friends from school came over for a playdate which was a lot of fun. When they left Aiden went down for a 3 hour nap! I was able to start organizing and pricing stuff in the basement for our upcoming neighborhood garage sale. Then I even snuck in an hour nap. Once Aiden woke up I realized it was still nice out so I took him to the park (his favorite thing was the choo choo train) and then we went to Panera for dinner. When we were ordering food to bring home for Alvin, Aiden said "I need a cookie for the car ride home" as he grabbed an M&M cookie from the counter. Of course my boy doesn't like chocolate so as he was eating it he asked me to "take off the vitamins. I don't like them!" 

The World According to Aiden

Aiden's new favorite thing is to take my camera and take his own pictures. It's gotten to the point where if I try to take a picture of him he grabs it from me and says "I take a picture to you!" Here are some of his shots he took today. 

Visiting Aunt V and Rob

Saturday night we went to Victoria and Rob's new apartment for dinner. When we were getting in the car afterwards Aiden looked at us and said "I had fun at Aunt V's and Rob's house." Oh, and can you tell who took that middle picture. Hint, his finger is blocking half of it! 

Enjoying the warm weather

Friday we had beautiful weather - 70 degrees! I was so excited to get home to play outside with Aiden. I took out his t-ball set that Uncle Steve and Aunt Lisa bought him for his birthday. He had such a good time playing and of course afterwards he wanted to put it back in the box and clean up.

My First Shamrock Shake

How is it that someone as addicted to Junior Mints and Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream has never had a McDonald's Shamrock Shake? And I worked there during high school and college! Anyway it was delicious and it's probably a good thing I just discovered I like them now.

Aiden Went to the Dentist

Aiden had his first dentist visit on Tuesday and he did so well! He let the dental assistant and dentist check his teeth and brush and floss them. While we were waiting we read through his Dora Goes to the Dentist book and he pointed out where the stuff in the book was in the dentist office. The ladies who worked there all fell in love with him. They kept saying how they didn't want him to leave and how good he was and how cute he was. They gave him tons of stickers, a plastic fish and a toy car. When I dropped him off at school he was so excited and ran into his classroom and yelled "I went to the dentist!" and then showed off his car. Seriously, when did he get to be such a big boy?

Nanny Packed Lightly

Nanny came to stay over on Tuesday and we were shocked at how lightly she packed. Usually she needs to make at least 2 trips from the car!

ELMO!

When we told Aiden that he couldn't sleep with Elmo b/c he would pop him, he decided to make Elmo a bed of his own. He put a pillow on the floor next to his crib and gave Elmo 2 of his stuffed friends to sleep with.

Tristan's 1st Birthday Party

Aiden had a lot of fun at his cousin's first birthday party, and had been talking about it for a few days ("I get to see my cousins at the party!"). His favorite part was the cool balloon animal he got which was Elmo. When we were leaving he looked at me and said "Mommy I had so much fun at this party."

Aiden loves taking pictures with my camera lately. Here are pics he took of me and Aunt V and then he had me take a picture of him making a funny face. I'm home from 4 days away in Miami and I walked in the door right at the moment he was calling me on his toy phone. Too cute!

Aiden's Stats (at 29 months)

Aiden isn't going to his pediatrician for a 2.5 year check-up b/c my insurance doesn't cover it. But we did get to go to his asthma doctor the other day and they measured him. He weighs 29lbs and is 35" tall.

Taking Advantage of the Nice Weather

Saturday was a beautiful day. I was leaving for Miami in the afternoon so I was excited that the weather was nice and we were able to go out for a nice walk before I left. Oh and now Aiden can reach the doorbell so that was fun (a.k.a. annoying) when he kept ringing it over and over again!
