This year's costume... SuperMan!!!
After weeks of saying he would be Cat in the Hat for Halloween, Aiden decided to change his mind and ask to be Superman. He doesn't even know who Superman is but the boys in his school were talking about him so that's where Aiden got it from. I really am not a fan of his costume and wish I had ordered a better quality one. But he loves it and that's all that matters.
Halloween Snow Storm
Still can't believe we got a snow storm in October! I didn't think it would be bad but the roads were horrible and trees are down everywhere. Luckily we didn't lose power but a lot of our friends and family did. Hope the snow melts for tomorrow's parade at Aiden's school!
Umm... wrong language
Alvin was on the phone with Lola this morning speaking Tagalog so I asked Aiden what they were saying. His reply - "they're talking in Chinese Mommy!" So I asked him who else he know that speaks Chinese and he said "Daddy, Lolo, Lola and Jacky." Well he got 1 out of 4 right - Jacky is his friend in school who is Chinese. I think it's time Daddy teaches Aiden some Taglog!

Car Show Fun
Aiden was so excited to go to the car show today. Especially when I gave him his red hat so he could match Daddy. This time he actually ate his Spongebob cookie (usually he gets one and takes one bite and says he's done). The funniest was how he wanted Alvin to pick him up so he could look at the engines of the car and exclaimed "I LOVE engines!" Looks like someone is a mini-me of Daddy!
So Lucky
After taking Aiden to Sesame Place this weekend, I realized that he's a very lucky little boy. He just turned 3 and already he's been to the Camden Aquarium four times, the Please Touch Museum twice, the Philadelphia and Central Park Zoos and to Fantasy Island countless times. Not to mention Florida, San Francisco, Myrtle Beach, North Carolina and Ocean City, MD. I know he's still too young to remember these trips but we have the pictures. And just seeing his face light up when he saw the animals or rode on the rides just makes me so happy.
Sesame Place
We had such a good time at Sesame Place this weekend! Elizabeth and Olivia slept over so they could come with me and Aiden and thank goodness they were there. I would never have been able to bring Aiden by myself even without being 8 months pregnant with a bad foot! We were meeting some of my friends there who all have kids Aiden's age. Aiden loved the slides and the balloon ride. Luckily he didn't notice any of the characters walking around (he freaks out when he sees life size characters). But we were heading to the Countdown to Halloween show and he started crying and saying he didn't want to go see the show so we skipped. He loves playing with his magic wand and Elmo doll that I bought him at the overpriced gift shop.

Growth Spurt
Aiden must be going through a growth spurt. Thursday night he ate 2 hot dogs, applesauce and yogurt. Then Friday night he ate 3 tacos, rice and a Gogurt. Hungry boy!
34 Weeks!!!
I feel like in the last week my belly just popped out! It's HUGE now! Today we were at Sesame Place and when I asked him where the bathroom, he told me if I needed first aid that there were stations available. I almost started cracking up laughing. I guess I look like I'm going to give birth soon.

Why It Might Not Taste So Banana-y
Aiden helped me bake banana bread today. After he peeled the bananas he decided he wanted to eat one of them even though I needed all 3 for the recipe. But as he said "Mommy I'm going to eat this one and you can still use the other two in your recipe!" How can I argue with that?
The Entertainer
Aiden entertained the crowd with his renditions of Itsy Bitsy Spider, Dora's Halloween Song and his ABCs!
SURPRISE Daddy!!!
We threw Alvin a surprise 40th birthday party at Chimney Rock this weekend. His real birthday is a few weeks away but we were trying to surprise him (and I didn't want to be too close to my due date!). He figured out he was having a party but I convinced him that his friends were throwing him a small surprise. But of course when his friend Matt drove him to the parking lot, Alvin recognized everyone's cars so that's why he doesn't look so surprised in this video!

Pumpkin Picking with Friends
Today we went pumpkin picking with some of Aiden's friends from school and their families. We had such a fun time. The kids LOVED the tractor rides. It was gorgeous weather - although we were sweating b/c the sun was pretty hot. After our farm tour and pumpkin patch trip the kids went on pony rides. Aiden did really well for his first pony ride.
32 Weeks!!!
Here are 2 pictures of me at 32 weeks pregnant.
And here is a picture of what I looked like 32 weeks pregnant with Aiden. Hmmm...

3 Year Stats
I forgot to post Aiden's 3 year stats and I know one day I'm going to be looking for them.
Height: 37 3/4" (50th percentile)
Weight: 32lbs (50th percentile)
He did great at his 2 doctor appointments (pediatrician and asthma) and his dentist appointment. He didn't even cry when he got the flu shot. And he let the dentist do a regular cleaning on him like a big boy. He makes us so proud! I just think he likes to impress adults!

Funny Aiden Conversations
There's not a day that goes by that this kid doesn't crack us up. Here are some recent ones:
Me: "Let me put my Uggs on"
Aiden: "Mommy, those are not ugly, they're boots!"
Aiden is very into puzzles especially at school. Miss Sue brings out the box of 100 piece puzzles for him to do. She said he never gives up and always perseveres when doing them. His friend Jacky wants to learn to do puzzles with him:
Jacky: "I don't know how to do these puzzles!"
Aiden: "It's OK Jacky. I didn't know how to do puzzles either but then I learned. Here, I can teach you."

3 Year Old Portraits
We haven't been to Picture People in a year since Aiden refused to get his photos taken for his 2 year birthday. So we were pleasantly surprised when Aiden was all smiles for the photographer this time around. When the new baby comes I'm sure we'll be frequent customers again!
Fun with Sofia
Steve, Lisa and Sofia came over to play on Sunday. Aiden and Sofia had the best time playing with the train table! It's so fun to see them play so well together.
