Chef Aiden

I picked up Aiden from school today and he was so excited to show off what he made today. He did a cooking class at school and made a yummy baked good. He couldn't wait to eat it when he got home and he even shared a bite with me. It was Pillsbury crescent roll with fruit roll-ups in the middle with sugar. As Aiden said "it's delish!" I guess we're signing him up for the cooking classes they offer at school. Maybe he can teach me how to cook!

Talking...

Aiden likes to have my undivided attention these days. The other night we went out to dinner with Jenn, Alicia and Lauren and Aiden was getting mad when I was talking to the girls. "Mommy talk to me!!!" "OK Aiden what do you want to talk about?" "Motorcycles!" Now when we're eating dinner at the table and I try to talk to Alvin, Aiden will interrupt and say "Mommy talk to me. I want to tell you about school!"

Yesterday when I got home from work Aiden and I went on a walk around the neighborhood. He was pushing his teddy bear and bunny bear in his stroller. It amazed me how tall he is now because he can easily walk and push the stroller without a problem. So I started striking up conversation with him and he completely ignored me and finally said "I don't want to talk now!" Then we walked by 2 boys playing basketball and Aiden stopped and said "Mommy I need to say hello to those boys." So he yelled across the street "Hi! Hi! Hi!" but either the boys were ignoring him or they didn't hear him which of course broke my heart. But luckily he just kept walking... and still wouldn't talk to me! Until dinner time when I tried to talk to Alvin.

Happy Easter!!!

The Squirrel Wants to be in the Egg Hunt

We had our egg hunt at church and the squirrel stole about 10 eggs before the kids were able to start their hunt. Aiden did great - he was able to get 15 eggs!

Sounds Familiar

Tonight I asked Aiden what the Easter Bunny was going to bring him. His response "Strawberries, blueberries and Cheerios! Oh, and goldfish!" If you remember, all Aiden wanted Santa to bring him was milk and Cheerios!

Reading a Book to Aunt Lauren

Fun Coloring Easter Eggs

Aiden had fun with his cousins at Olivia's birthday party.

Munchkins!

Bribing paid off today! I told Aiden if he was a good boy when he got his hair cut I would get him munchkins afterwards. Well he was excellent at the hair salon! And he got his reward. But he is so sweet that he shared them with me and even gave me his last one saying he was all done. Of course now anytime we pass Dunkin Donuts he yells out "It's the munchkin store!!!"

This is Funny

Aiden had us cracking up tonight. He wanted everyone to do exactly what he was doing and say exactly what he was saying but we think he may have been speaking Chinese!

2 Parks in 1 Day

We were up in North Jersey so we stopped by a park in Rutherford which Aiden called "the girls' park" since most of the equipment was pink. Later after his nap he asked me to take him to the park we could walk to. It was there that he got into his first playground fight. This older girl (who I witnessed picking on a few kids) got into his face and started calling him a baby. Well Aiden yelled back at her "I'm not a baby! I'm a big boy!" and then she kept calling him a baby and he kept telling her he was a big boy. I was so proud of my big boy for sticking up for himself!

Aunt Alison is Here!

Aunt Alison is in town and we were lucky enough to spend all day Friday with her. Aiden had so much fun running around Wegmans and having Aunt Ali play with him all day.

Exploring Playa del Carmen

Ahhh... MEXICO!!!

Alvin and I spent 6 relaxing days in Riviera Maya, Mexico with Laura and Glenn. The resort was great and so was the weather. We did miss Aiden a lot but he was well taken care of at home with Lolo and Lola. I know he missed us too b/c his teacher told Lola that one day he was reading a book in class and he had tears in his eyes. Miss Teresa asked him what was wrong and he said "I miss Mommy. I want her to get off the airplane now." Broke my heart when I heard that story but everyone is back together again... some tanner than others!
