Mommy take me back outside!
Anderson does not like it when it's time to come inside. After I took both my shoes and his shoes off, he brought them over to me screaming and crying because he wanted to stay outside longer.
Beautiful Spring Weather
We had great weather this weekend so we played in the backyard and went to a nearby park. Yes I know I only posted pics of Anderson. That's b/c Aiden was too tired from soccer to play out in the back with us and when we were at the park, he was playing with other kids so I wasn't able to get any pictures of him.
Soccer Friends
Anderson had a lot of fun at soccer today. His buddy Austin came with a new can of cheese puffs and was even feeding Anderson. In return Anderson shared the soccer balls with him.

Day Trip to the Pirate Park
Aiden asks us every week if we can go to the Pirate Park. I had only taken him there once last summer but that park made quite an impression. When we heard we were going to have spring weather on Sunday, we decided to do a day trip in LBI. We were hoping to go to the Chegg since it had just opened but of course there was a big crowd. So we went to Black Whale instead. Then we stopped to see Laura & Glenn's new place and headed over to the park. Anderson wanted to run everywhere he wasn't supposed to be (into the water or the street). It was a fun day and made us excited for the beach this summer!
SHOES!!!
Anderson loves to say "shoes" and loves to sit on the stairs and try to put them on himself. Many times he tries putting them on even though we're not going outside. He just wants to go outside and he knows that he needs his shoes to do so!
Anderson is 16 Months!!!
Anderson turned 16 months this weekend. We can't believe what a big boy he is. He's back to sleeping really well which is great after a few cranky weeks. He loves going outside and will stand at the garage door until you take him out to play. He also loves eating anything you have, especially if it's something that is not on his plate. He also loves to read. He'll sit and go through books and talk just like he's reading them to us. One thing they learned at school is that he is scared to death of the lawn guys who were there cutting the grass. Anderson was outside with his class and when he saw the guys he screamed on top of his lungs for a long time and tried opening the door to get back inside.
Another Successful Pinterest Project
Aiden is learning to read sight words. He's already mastered a bunch in Phonics and now his Pre-K teacher is going to teach them 10 words a week for the next 10 weeks! I had pinned a Sight Word Game on Pinterest months ago and finally got around to doing it this weekend. I would say a word and Aiden would park a car in that spot. I was so proud of Aiden - he knew all but one of the words! And he decided the cars he parked when I read the word would be parked backwards.
