I'm sitting down in the basement on the computer as Aiden is playing with his toys and I look over to see him playing with his toy phone and making some calls. I had to type out what he was saying b/c it was cracking me up. Especially how loud he was speaking into the phone.
"Hello! Because I'm going to be right back. We're downstairs. Because I need help. Please. Oh. You have to go. OK. Goodbye."
"Hello. Hi Dad. I'm downstairs. Uhhh because I have shoes. I want to fix this now. Oh. OK. Watch out. OK. Bye."

Deep Thoughts by Aiden Ago
I'm not making this up - I am home with Aiden today and this is what he just told me as I'm trying to get him down for a nap:
"Mommy when the sun goes down we go night-night. And the sun goes down at 6 o'clock. And the stars go up. And that's when Daddy comes home."
"Mommy when the sun goes down we go night-night. And the sun goes down at 6 o'clock. And the stars go up. And that's when Daddy comes home."

More Nebulizer Please
Aiden is such a good boy when he has to get nebulized. In fact he can hold the mask in place the whole time. And when the medicine is gone and I try to take it away from him he says "No I need more" as he pretend coughs! His asthma doctor will be proud.
Date with Aunt Lauren
Aiden had so much fun with Aunt Lauren at the Cheesecake Factory. And then he suckered her into running around the mall and jumping over all the lines on the floor. Good times!
Fun with Play-Doh
Aiden spent more than 2 hours playing with one of his Play-Doh sets that Aunt Laura and Uncle Glenn bought him for Christmas. We had lots of fun making a BBQ for Daddy.

My Son the Fashionista
I was doing my hair this morning in the bathroom and I hear the cutest voice yell in to me "Mommy that dress is very pretty!" It melted my heart. Aiden has become very fashion-conscious. He only wants to wear his "rain boots" to school. I am not talking about his adorable monkey ones that I bought him for his birthday. He hasn't worn those yet. He calls his nice brown boots his "rain boots". He only has two pairs of shoes - his brown boots and his blue sneakers. But now he has decided that he has to wear the dressier ones to school, even today for Pajama Day. Since it has been unseasonably warm here I let him wear his brown coat that he hasn't worn in awhile. Well anyone he saw yesterday he would yell out "Look I'm wearing my brown coat! Do you like my brown coat?" It was hysterical! Of course I still tell him that he doesn't get to pick out his clothes. He has to wear what Mommy picks out for him and luckily he is ok with that especially since we all know that I am a control freak especially when it comes to his clothes! : )

Aiden's Valentine Treats
Today Aiden has his Valentine's party at school. Of course I stayed up late putting these treat bags together for his classmates, figuring it was a good way to market my side business.
Last night I was asking Aiden about who was who's Valentine's. Here's how it went:
Me: "Aiden who is Nanny's valentine?"
A: "Papa"
Me: "Who is Lolo's valentine?"
A: "Lolo"
Me: "Who is Aunt V's valentine?"
A: Rob
Me: "Who is McKayla's valentine?"
A: "Molly"
Me: "Who is Aiden's valentine?"
A: "Daddy!"
Me: "Who is Mommy's valentine?"
A: "Yogurt!"
Umm... not the answer I was hoping for! But Aiden is Daddy's #1 fan right now since I was away twice this week.

Aiden's Valentines
These are the Valentines I made for Aiden. The second one is the one he is giving to all his classmates.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
Tomorrow Aiden has a Valentine's Day party at school so we made cards for all his classmates and he picked out which stickers they would get on their envelopes.
Weekend Pictures
Here is a picture of Aiden and Daddy at Wegmans. And then a picture Aiden took of me today. I really like how he strategically placed his fingers in front of the lens to hide my problem areas! He can take all my pictures from now on!
Laju's Baby Shower
Jenn, Alicia and I drove to Syracuse this weekend for Laju's baby shower. It was so great to see her and celebrate with her family. I made the decorations - the banner, 2 types of favors, book labels and cupcake toppers. I really enjoyed making them and it was good practice for my side business.
While Mommy was away...
Daddy took Aiden for a much needed haircut! These are the pictures I received while I was up in Syracuse.
More Cousins in Town
Daddy's cousin Raymond and his family were in town from Los Angeles and Lola Mer was here from the Philippines. I had so much fun playing with my cousin!

Happy Birthday to Laura
We were trying to record a video greeting for Laura's birthday which is Tuesday but someone was convinced it was Glenn's birthday instead.
Super Bowl = CHIPS!!!
Not only does Aiden love eating chips, he loves bringing chips to others. He kept bringing them to me and he even dipped them in salsa! He would be double-fisted - chip in one hand and cracker in another. He was all about Super Bowl munchies tonight while playing with his stickers from Nanny.
I Don't Like Chocolate... unless it's Rocky Road
All Aiden ever says is "I don't like chocolate" but today reluctantly he tried some of Alvin's rocky road ice cream and he kept coming back for more!
Aunt V Moves Out
The guest bedroom is empty again - Victoria moved out on Friday. Here's some pictures of her last night as Aiden jumped on the bed to cuddle up with his buddies.

Playing Trains with Aiden
This is a pretty long video - over 2 minutes - but I figured Nanny would watch it. Aiden is pretty bossy when he plays trains or when you try to sing with him!
More Funny Things My Son Says
I'm trying to keep track of some of the cute things Aiden says because they will be fun to read years from now.... so here are a few from the past week:
- Aiden has had a cough the past 2 days so we've been using the nebulizer on him (he has to wear the mask for 10 minutes) and he actually likes it. When we were done with it this morning he starts yelling "Mommy I need more nebulizer! See, I'm still coughing" as he proceeds to fake cough!
- The other day I was driving him to school and he dropped his bunny (the one that is glued to his side all day) in the car. I told him I couldn't get it b/c I was driving. Later I came to a red light and I hear "Mommy, you can get bunny now - you're at a stop light."
- If he doesn't know the answer to something he will say "I don't think so" instead of "I don't know"
- The other day when we were done playing trains I noticed that 3 of the train people were still on the floor so I asked him to pick them up. He looked at me and said "I can't clean them up Mommy, they're sleeping!" I guess they must be tired b/c it's been 2 days and they are still there!
- He likes to change words in songs now to be sillly. The one this morning was Row Row Row Your Boat. His teachers taught him a version where you say "If you see a crocodile/spider/etc., don't forget to scream." Well his new version is "If you see Aunt V and Rob don't forget to scream!"
Playdate with Sofia
Aiden had so much fun playing with Sofia on Sunday at her house. Here they are enjoying the cookies that Aiden brought over that he made.
Baking Cookies with Mommy
On Saturday Aiden and I baked sugar cookies in shapes of hearts, snowmen and snowflakes. He is such a good little baker!
