We had Aiden's check-up with his pulmonary doctor last week. He now weighs 31lbs and is 36" tall! Aiden loves seeing Dr. Bieler and he was a very good boy like usual. Later that day we had his parent-teacher conference with Miss Teresa. His teacher told us that he has picked up on sign language so well. Both Aiden and his friend Ethan are the ones in school who remember all of the signs. In fact when the teacher asks the class to show her them, all the kids wait until Aiden or Ethan answers first!
Miss Teresa said Aiden is doing wonderfully in school. He is very smart and she wants to make sure he's challenged so she's going to start doing word recognition flash cards with him this summer (holding up a picture of a dog and another card that says DOG). She also said that he likes to keep her on schedule. For example if they are running behind and she decides they will practice their letters in the afternoon instead of the morning, he will come running up to her and say "Miss Teresa isn't it time we trace our letters now?"
She said she is going to miss him so much in September when he transitions to the Preschool room but she knows he'll do great because he gets to go there now some days and he loves playing with the older kids and all the fun stuff they have in that room.
